The Blue Jays just announced a bunch of minor-league signings the other day, but it seems they might not be finished just yet. According to Chris Cotillo of MassLive, the Jays have shown interest in free-agent utility guy Brock Holt.

The Jays, as we know, love the idea of positional versatility. The front office likes acquiring players that play more than one position and we saw Charlie Montoyo, a graduate of the school of Tama Bay Rays ball, throw players all around the field. So with that in mind, it isn’t all too surprising the Jays would be interested in Holt, who played every position other than pitcher and catcher over his career.
Most of Holt’s value as a player comes from the fact he can be a plug-and-play guy pretty much wherever on the diamond, which is a nice thing to have on your bench. He isn’t a spectacular hitter, but his .297/.369/.402 …
