The 30-year-old was acquired by the Leafs back in the 2019 season with Jack Campbell in exchange for Trevor Moore and two draft picks. Clifford played 16 games, scoring a goal and adding two assists with the Leafs in 2019.
This year with St. Louis, Clifford had one point in two games played.
