#Intrigue Could Johnsson or Muzzin play in Game 5?

The Leafs picked a historic win in Game Four, and hockey history says don’t mess with a winning lineup. That being said, there were 56 minutes of hockey that weren’t going great before things took a positive turn for the Leafs, and perhaps they could use some help tonight.

The @MapleLeafs have activated forward Andreas Johnsson from injured reserve. #LeafsForever

Jake Muzzin is out of quarantine inside the NHL bubble and skated this morning.

So, yeah, those are some good players to have at the Leafs disposal in an all or nothing situation. The question remains, who stays in and who comes out?
Arguably those answers would be pretty easy too, and Marincin and Mikheyev would come out, as Marincin is Marincin and Mikheyev hasn’t been particularly good in against Columbus. Watching a game might not be a bad idea for him.
As interesting as adding Johnsson and Muzzin would be, we just know what we’ve seen from those two tweets and certainly Sheldon Keefe isn’t letting it be known what he is planning.
Nothing like a little pregame intrigue before …

Maple Leafs Pregame #48: 5 Things to Watch for against the Flames

The Leafs picked up a much needed win against noted win donors the New Jersey Devils the other night, but face a bit more a legitimate challenge tonight in the Calgary Flames. I mean, not really all that legitimate, they are decent by Pacific Division standards and Lucic in their lineup, but still the difficulty level is going up a little.
The Leafs are in a win/win situation in that if they beat the Flames they get two points, but if they lose they put the Oilers and Canucks in a worse position. I think it’s important that we appreciate the silver linings regardless of the outcome.

The Toronto Raptors picked up a much-needed win over the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night. What did we take away from the game? Travis Bergen returned to the Jays, optioned to Buffalo

One of the two pitchers picked off of  the Blue Jays from the Rule 5 Draft, Travis Bergen — the other being Jordan Romano — has been returned after being designated for assignment earlier this week.

ROSTER MOVES:
Rule 5 selection – LHP Travis Bergen – has been returned from the @SFGiants and will report to the @BuffaloBisons.
Additionally, RHP Jason Adam has been recalled and RHP Sean Reid-Foley has been optioned to Triple-A. pic.twitter.com/Boj7EbomAJ
— Toronto Blue Jays (@BlueJays) August 21, 2019

The 25-year-old lefty pitched a total of 19 and 2/3 innings for the Giants this year, for a 5.49 ERA with nine walks and 18 strikeouts. Not the most dominant performance, but for a Rule 5 pick, it was decent but ended up not being worth the roster spot for the whole year.
Due to an injury suffered mid-season, Bergen was able to have a rehab assignment to their Triple-A affiliate. There he posted a 3.78 ERA through 15 games and 16 and 2/3 innings pitched.
Now heading to Triple-A Buffalo, the 2015 seventh-round pick will strengthen an already built pitching staff for the Bisons. Top prospect Nate Pearson dominated in his first Triple-A appearance, while Anthony Kay is absolutely dealing as of late and changing the narrative for the return of …
